We continue to raise much-needed funds for HIOWAA through our spectacular raffle. Tickets cost £5 and you can buy them at any time up to the day of the prize draw, through our JustGiving page. Our amazing prizes include a luxury ‘on the water’ experience, a fine art photographic print, and a quality drinks hamper. The prize draw will take place on Friday 29th September.
Why should you help us?
HIOWAA is our headline charity for 2023 and we are appealing to you to help us reach our ambitious goal: we want to raise at least £20,000 and, as well as funding everything relating to the organisation of this exciting raffle, we pledge to match all funds raised, up to £20,000.
HIOWAA provides a vital service to seriously injured or ill people across the Island and Hampshire and delivers the same level of care you would expect from a major trauma unit. Incredibly, the Air Ambulance attends, on average, six missions a day, every day of the year, many of them life-saving.
It costs around £15,000 per day to keep the service operational and although working in partnership with University Hospital Southampton and South Central Ambulance Service, which are both NHS funded, the Air Ambulance is a charity and relies entirely on donations.
HIOWAA is a service that hopefully none of us will ever have the need to use – but we’re determined to ensure it continues to be there for everyone who does. We sincerely hope you will support this important charity.
