Coronavirus and the Rouse roadmap

Monday 22nd March 2021

It’s hard to believe that it was a year ago when we issued our first bulletin on how we initially proposed to respond to the Government’s plans to suppress the spread of the coronavirus. Of course, one year on, we are still not out of the woods, but at least we can now see some light.

As you will be aware, there are 4 steps in the Government’s roadmap, with the final one being effective from 21 June 2021.  Assuming the Government’s advice doesn’t change in the interim, the steps we are planning to take are:

Step 1:

Skeleton staff only within our offices until April 2021.

Step 2:

Phased return of all staff to our offices from April 2021.

Step 3:

Clients will be given access to our offices, to drop off paperwork etc, from mid-May 2021.

Step 4:

Providing your adviser has received his/her vaccination and the weather allows, outside face-to-face meetings will be offered from mid-May 2021.

Step 5:

Providing our staff have all received their vaccinations, face-to-face meetings in our offices or your home will be offered from July 2021.

We do understand that the threat of the coronavirus may have changed the way you feel and that, despite having stringent risk mitigation procedures in place, visits and face-to-face meetings (either in our offices or in your home) may no longer be a comfortable option for you. In this case, rest assured, we will liaise with you on the best way forward – it is of paramount importance that everyone feels as protected as much as they can be, whilst still receiving an ongoing and efficient service from us.

We will keep you up-to-date with our progress and, in the meantime, we wish you, your family and friends the best of health as we take these final steps.
